MPSDFS Provides $50,000 Grant Towards the Development of Early Intervention Therapy Video Series

The Ministry of the People, Social Development and Family Services (MPSDFS) continues to reinforce its commitment to supporting vulnerable groups through its recent grant of $50,000 towards the development of an Early Intervention Therapy Video Series.

This initiative, spearheaded by the National Family Services Division, aims to provide accessible therapeutic resources for families with young children who require early intervention services. The video series will feature expert guidance on developmental milestones, therapeutic techniques, and support strategies that parents and caregivers can implement at home.

Key Features of the Programme

  • Comprehensive video tutorials covering various developmental areas
  • Expert insights from certified therapists and child development specialists
  • Practical demonstrations of therapeutic techniques
  • Resources available in multiple languages for wider accessibility

Minister of the People, Social Development and Family Services, the Honourable Vandana Mohit, emphasized the importance of early intervention in child development. "By providing these resources, we are empowering families to actively participate in their children's developmental journey and ensuring that no child is left behind."

The video series is expected to be launched in early 2026 and will be made available through the Ministry's official website and social media channels, ensuring broad accessibility for families across Trinidad and Tobago.
