Ministry of the People Delivers Over $360,000 in Support to Families in St. Augustine and Environs

The Ministry of the People, Social Development and Family Services (MPSDFS) continued its mission of providing timely, compassionate and people-centred support by delivering over $360,000 in assistance to families in St. Augustine and surrounding communities.

This comprehensive support package includes financial assistance, food cards, educational supplies, and medical support for families facing economic hardships. The distribution event, held at the St. Augustine Community Centre, saw hundreds of families receiving much-needed assistance.

Distribution Breakdown

• $200,000 in direct financial assistance to 150 families
• $100,000 in food cards distributed to 200 households
• $40,000 in educational supplies for school-aged children
• $20,000 in medical support and assistance

The Minister highlighted the government's commitment to ensuring that vulnerable populations receive the support they need during challenging times. "No family should face hardship alone. Through these initiatives, we demonstrate our commitment to building a more inclusive and supportive society."
