"Nothing is impossible" Minister Mohit Meets with Cerebral Palsy Advocate

Minister of the People, Social Development and Family Services, the Honourable Vandana Mohit, met with Cerebral Palsy Advocate, Mr. Sunderlal Panday, in an inspiring session focused on disability rights and inclusion.

Mr. Panday, who has been living with cerebral palsy since birth, has become a powerful voice for persons with disabilities in Trinidad and Tobago. His advocacy work spans education accessibility, workplace inclusion, and public awareness campaigns that challenge societal perceptions of disability.

During the meeting, Minister Mohit and Mr. Panday discussed several key initiatives, including:

  • Expansion of the Disability Assistance Grant Programme
  • Improvements to accessibility infrastructure in public spaces
  • Development of inclusive education programmes
  • Employment opportunities for persons with disabilities

"Nothing is impossible when we work together with determination and purpose," stated Minister Mohit. "Mr. Panday's advocacy work exemplifies the resilience and capability of persons with disabilities, and his insights will be invaluable as we continue to develop more inclusive policies."

The Ministry has committed to incorporating Mr. Panday's recommendations into upcoming policy reviews and programme developments.
