World Children's Day 2025: Celebrating the Rights and Potential of Every Child

Every child deserves love, safety and opportunity. On World Children's Day 2025, the Ministry of the People, Social Development and Family Services honours our responsibility to protect, nurture, and empower the children of Trinidad and Tobago.
This year's celebration, held under the theme "Every Child, Every Right, Every Day," brought together hundreds of children, parents, educators, and child welfare professionals for a day of activities, education, and celebration.
Event Highlights
- Interactive workshops on children's rights and safety
- Cultural performances by children from across the country
- Health and wellness screenings
- Educational resource distribution
- Awards ceremony recognizing youth achievement
Minister Mohit addressed the gathering, emphasizing the government's commitment to child welfare: "Our children are our future, and it is our collective responsibility to ensure they grow in an environment that respects their rights, nurtures their talents, and protects their well-being."
The Ministry also launched the "Every Child Matters" campaign, a year-round initiative focusing on child protection, education access, and family support services.
